In 2006, I hired a group of guys in need of work to remove the dotted tiles, the ones from our school days, from a ceiling in a home built in 1960. These tiles had been added later, after construction, to keep the house warmer as it had a vaulted ceiling. Underneath the tiles was what I believe was insulation filled with asbestos.
