We moved into an older house with a block basement, and the house has a cistern which hasn't been used in many years. We talked to previous owners of this place, and they never even looked in it. Since we moved here, my asthma came back (i had it as a child), my son developed asthma, my daughter has pneumonia, and we frequently have chest colds. Including my husband as well.
