Why do you think smoking is dangerous to someone`s health although most medical doctors and nurses smoke ?

Question by WHO: Why do you think smoking is dangerous to someone`s health although most medical doctors and nurses smoke ?
I have noticed that in many countries most medical doctors and medical personnel in general go to the smoking section every once in a while to light up another one although they should know better and give an example. Or is it that they secretly know, that smoking is not as dangerous as the society wants us to make believe.
