A woman who worked as a clerk at a workshop recently passed away from mesothelioma cancer. Mesothelioma is a cancer caused by the naturally occurring mineral, asbestos. Exposure to asbestos occurs through inhalation of airborne asbestos fibers. It is believed that the woman was exposed to asbestos while walking through a dusty workshop that contained asbestos fibers in order to get to her office.
