Lets say you are about 65 years old.
Retired from a coal mining place
You have no wife
Your children live clear accross the country and you know they will not want to take care of you.
They are well off, and financially stable. You can trust them with money.
You smoke and had a heart attack at 50, so no long term insurance
You have, lets say a million in a taxable account due to an old job that had asbestos
