What kind of siding do I have?

Question by cjk44t: What kind of siding do I have?
Home is built in 1973 and underneath my vinyl siding is the original (I assume) siding. The style is long boards (not a shingle) just like standard vinyl siding and they appear to be something similar to a pressed cardboard. They are semi flexible and when I try to pry them off they sort of tear apart where the nails are.
